What is your leadership approach to life when the fog set in? Are you “just passing through,” moving quickly toward the future, passing by opportunities to engage with the world around you? Or are you mired in today’s pressures, unable to lift your head and see the future that beckons? I am amazed at how quickly the “leadership fog” can develop when we are passing through. At one moment, the leader can have a clear sense of direction and be confident in the decisions being made. Suddenly issues arise, often out of your control, which leads them into the fog and threatens their future.
If this is you then pray: Thank You, Lord, for giving me this day. Thank You for the opportunity to live it for You. Make me a blessing to those around me. Make my heart beat in time with Yours, so that I can bring Your perspective to each situation in which I find myself. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.—Psalm 90:12
