Are you GREAT?

…and calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. Matt. 18:1-4

Greatness in the world’s eyes is often characterized by confidence and accomplishment; greatness in God’s eyes is characterized differently.

Jesus offers a child as the example of greatness in God’s kingdom. Humility allows us to respond to God’s call to servant leadership and allows Him the freedom to place us and use us as He desires.

Are you humbly answering the call to be GREAT today?

  1. I firmly believe in the piliars of what servant leadership represents. It is a rewarding and freeing opportunity to help others and to know why. The call to sacrifice in time and talent are our responsibilities to God and self.
